IBA-TFCI Bank Card & ePayment 2005, Conference & Expo

IBA jointly with TFCI organized a one day Conference on 'BANK CARD & ePAYMENT 2005' on October 26, 2005 at Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. It was the largest industry forum on Cards & Electronic Payments. The exclusive forum aimed at improving the efficiency of cash and card issues, ePayments, related processes, direction on ePayments, arising from huge domestic growth and globalization.

The Chief Guest for the event was Ms. Chanda Kochhar, Executive Director ICICI Bank.

Keynote Speakers for the session included Mr. H Srikrishnan, Executive Director - YES Bank, Kaza Sudhakar, General Manager (DPSS) - Reserve Bank of India; Natasha Patel, Sr. VP & Head (Global Payments & Cash Management) HSBC; Sanjay Sharma, Corporate Head (IT) - IDBI Ltd.; Tarun Makhija, Regional Sales Manager (Partnership Business, West India) APC; Saurabh Tripathi, Principal - The Boston Consulting Group; A R Ramesh, Business Head (Merchant Services) - ICICI Bank; Arun Pascricha, General Manager (DPSS) - Reserve Bank of India and Parag Rao, Head Marketing (Credit Card) - HDFC Bank.

The last session concluded with a Panel Discussion on "Can new technologies help to increase the payments and transactions efficiency and reduce fraud? A good reality check!" The Panelist included Kaza Sudhakar, General Manager - Reserve Bank of India ; D.Ray, General Manager (Payment Settlement Group) - State Bank of India and Ravi Shankar, Country Head (Direct Banking) - Yes Bank. All the panelist responded to a volley of questions from the participants.

The total number of delegates were 148 from the Banking & Financial Services Industry and 19 delegates from the Banking Solution Providers.
