4. To Veteran Sportspersons [National/International level players over 35 years of age]

Sports persons selected by the State Veterans Federation may be granted Special Leave and other facilities entirely at the discretion of the bank concerned.

5. To Sportspersons who sustain injury while participating in Practice Sessions/Tournaments will be extended all the benefits as available to bank employees who sustain injuries while on duty and in all other cases, on a case to case basis.

6. To Physically handicapped sportspersons The granting of special leave and other facilities is on merits of each case and entirely at the discretion of the banks concerned.

7. Scholarship/Stipendiary Players Not more than 10% of the sportspersons in the different sports disciplines are scholarship players.

8. To Convenors, Co-opted Members, Members of Sub-Committees of BSB/Sports Secretaries of Regional Sports Boards - grant of duty leave and travel expenses for attending meetings convened by BSB.

II Extraordinary leave on loss of pay

May be granted for not more than two years during the entire service career of the employee for playing for Overseas Clubs in any recognised sports discipline for which they draw compensation for their services as professional sportsmen subject to stipulated conditions. The seniority of such sportsmen employees will be protected during such period of absence for the purpose of promotion or officiating only.

Requisition for Sports persons or employees for sports events under the aegis of BSB

Request for the services of these employees are required to be made to the Administrative Office of the bank concerned and under no circumstances directly to the employee in the following order of preference.
1. Local bank employees
2. Other experienced sportspersons available locally
3. Up-country bank employees
4. Other experienced sportspersons from outside the city
