FICCI
(Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce
and Industry) in collaboration with Indian
Banks' Association (IBA) had organized
a conference on "Global Banking :
Paradigm Shift 2005" from 5 - 7 October
2005 at Hotel Hilton Towers, Mumbai.
The
conference was graced by some of the leading
national and international financial experts.
More than 450 participants enthusiastically
attended the conference. Out of these,
more than 70 foreign participants from
over 13 countries were present at the
occasion.
The
Welcome Address was delivered by Mr. Onkar
S Kanwar, President, FICCI, while the
Theme Presentation was delivered by Mr.
A K Purwar, Chairman, FICCI's Banking
& FIs Committee, Chairman, IBA and
Chairman, State Bank of India. The Special
Address was delivered by Mr. Malcolm D
Knight, CEO, BIS. The Valedictory Address
was made by Dr. Y V Reddy, Governor, Reserve
Bank of India.
